Description

We are a New Zealand boutique accounting firm partnering with service-based entrepreneurs and online businesses.

We value clarity, responsiveness, and a calm, efficient approach.

This is a long-term, remote role for someone keen to support NZ compliance and bookkeeping work while growing alongside our team.

  • Reconcile Xero transactions weekly
  • Prepare and finalise New Zealand GST returns
  • Process end-of-year financial statements for sole traders, partnerships, and companies
  • Enter adjustment journals and reconcile GST/tax balances
  • Use Xero Workpapers and Xero Practice Manager (XPM)
  • Collaborate via Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Gmail, Chat)

Requirements

  • Accounting degree qualified
  • 3+ years experience in an accounting firm.
  • 2+ years hands-on Xero experience (certified preferred)
  • Familiarity & experience with GST/VAT – preferably AU/NZ style
  • Clear written English communication
  • Ability to ask smart questions and work independently
  • Reliable internet connection and organized home workspace
  • You must be able to prepare end of year financial statements and tax returns.
  • Experienced using Xero workpapers and Xero Practice Manager
