  • An Accounting Manager distributes the financial resources of a company and is responsible for the budget planning, and supports the executive management team by offering insights and financial advice that will allow them to make the best business decisions for the company. She is also accountable for the accounting operations of the company, to include the production of periodic financial reports, maintenance of an adequate system of accounting records, and a comprehensive set of controls and budgets designed to mitigate risk, enhance the accuracy of the company’s reported financial results, and ensure that reported results comply with International Financial Reporting Standards.


Job Description:

  • Maintains and enforces a documented system of accounting policies and procedures;
  • Oversee the operations of the Accounting Department, including the design of an organizational structure adequate for achieving the department’s goals and objectives;
  • Oversee the accounting operations of branch/branches, specially their control systems, transaction-processing operations, and policies and procedures.
  • Ensure that accounts payable are paid in a timely manner;
  • Ensure that all reasonable discounts are taken on accounts payable;
  • Ensure that accounts receivables are collected promptly;
  • Ensure that monthly bank reconciliations are completed;
  • Maintain a system of controls over accounting transactions.
  • Issue timely and complete financial statements;
  • Coordinate the preparation of the corporate annual report, if necessary;
  • Coordinate the provision of information to external auditors for the annual audit;
  • Comply with the SEC, BIR, and government reporting requirements and tax filings.


Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • CPA (Certified Public Accountant) is an advantage but not required.
  • At least 5-7 years of experience in financial management or accounting, with a proven track record in financial planning, analysis, and reporting.
  • Experience in managing and overseeing a finance team is required.
  • Strong experience with financial software and tools (e.g., SAP, QuickBooks, Excel).
  • Solid understanding of financial principles, regulations, and industry standards.
  • In-depth knowledge of financial reporting, general accounting practices, and internal controls.
  • Knowledge of tax laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience in managing teams and coordinating cross-functional activities.
