We are seeking an experienced Actuarial Manager who will work closely with the Head of Actuary to collect, analyze, and interpret data that drives key business decisions. The ideal candidate will possess leadership skills, technical expertise, and a good understanding of the insurance industry.

Your role:
Step into a pivotal role that blends deep analytical rigor with strategic business insight. You'll be at the heart of driving smarter decisions through data, collaboration, and innovation.
- Shape Product Pricing & Profitability: Lead the analysis, review, and development of standard premium rates for both individual and group products, ensuring alignment with pricing guidelines, profitability goals, and market competitiveness.
- Drive Forecasting & Financial Modeling: Conduct profit testing, claims ratio reviews, loss experience analysis, and premium forecasting. Maintain and enhance valuation models for assets and liabilities, and collaborate with Finance to determine policy reserves, solvency requirements, and net worth calculations.
- Turn Data into Actionable Insights: Translate complex business problems and proposals into meaningful data-driven insights and comprehensive reports that inform strategic direction.
- Ensure Compliance & Risk Management: Assist in the preparation and timely submission of compliance reports to regulatory bodies, ensuring all obligations are met.
- Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Engage with Sales, Customer Experience, and Operations teams to integrate technical recommendations into practical execution. Play a key role in sales incentives review/design and overall business profiling.
- Explore Diverse Analytics Projects: Get involved in a variety of exciting initiatives, including incident report reviews, reinsurance analysis, competitive benchmarking, and more.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance or related field
- At least 10 years of actuarial experience in Insurance or Financial Services
- Associate designation in any recognized actuarial organization (SOA, ASP)
- Excellent experience in MS Office (Excel, VBA, Access), SQL, Python, or similar programs
- Demonstrated experience in applying actuarial concepts to independently model and analyze actuarial financial metrics
- Proven analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to gather, synthesize, organize, and report information, results, and recommendations to various levels across the organization.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to build camaraderie across levels and business functions
