Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and creative Virtual Architect to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and visualizing modern, modular, and portable housing solutions that align with Australian building codes and Ready Nest’s sustainability mission. This role is fully remote, offering flexibility and the opportunity to work on innovative housing projects with a forward-thinking company.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conceptualize and develop architectural designs for modular and portable homes, from initial concept to detailed plans.
• Create 2D drawings, 3D models, renders, and walkthroughs to visualize design concepts for stakeholders and clients.
• Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and the production team to ensure designs are structurally sound and feasible for manufacturing and installation.
• Ensure all designs comply with Australian Building Standards and relevant housing regulations.
• Revise and refine designs based on feedback from the team, clients, and compliance assessments.
• Assist in preparing technical documentation, design specifications, and presentations.
• Research innovative materials, design trends, and sustainable practices to integrate into projects.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture
• Minimum of 3+ years of professional experience in residential or modular housing design. 
• Proficiency in architectural design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Lumion, or similar tools.
• Strong understanding of prefabricated or modular building systems is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of Australian Building Codes and Standards is an advantage.
• Exceptional creativity, attention to detail, and spatial design skills.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with remote teams.
• Self-motivated, proactive, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
