Description

Our client is a prominent provider of business insurance broking and financial services across Australia. They specialize in assisting businesses to identify and manage potential hazards, aiming to minimize exposure to financial risks and ensure adequate protection of property and operations.

Currently, they are looking for a Broker Support Assistant to join the team, The Broking Support Officer will manage a diverse range of responsibilities supporting our service team to service their clients and general business needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Processing of manual Invoices and Schedules.
  • Arranging Certificates of Currency for all classes of Insurance.
  • Preparation of Renewal Reviews for Brokers and requesting renewal documentation from Insurers / clients.
  • Assisting the onshore team with their claims management, which includes placing / following up claims with insurers, liaising with clients / the broking team as required and obtaining Claims Histories from Insurers.
  • Regular emails to clients throughout the year to confirm if their policy needs to change.
  • Management of Client Debtors.
  • Follow up of outstanding client documentation & Uploading of documentation to Internal and External Systems including Filing.
  • Take initiative to highlighting process improvements - maintain and update broking processes and procedures.
  • Stay up to date on the Australian Insurance industry and market.


Skills, Experience & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration/Commerce/Accounting/Finance or equivalent.
  • MUST have recent insurance experience, preferably Australian Insurance. Having Australian Insurance Broker experience would be advantageous.
  • MUST be available for Full-Time Office setup
  • Must have strong administration skills and experience, preferably in the financial or insurance sector.
  • Good written and verbal English Language communication skills.
  • Excellent time management skills and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work confidently on your own and within a team.
