Business Planning
- Help develop strategies that are aligned to the Vision in close coordination with the ExeCom and the Strategy Committee. Facilitate the strategy development process and provide justifications by presenting relevant research and insights for proposals that are misaligned.
Market Expansion, Site Acquisition, and Real Estate Asset Optimization
- Direct the Business Development team in site selection and the optimization of property assets of the company. Review proposed business sites and ensure their ability to meet the brand site minimums stated below prior to presentation for approval of the top management.

Franchise Program Management
- Build a productive relationship of mutual trust with the franchise partners and their key management team. Meet all franchisees on a regular basis to give and receive feedback on the management of franchise operations.
Business Intelligence
- Flourish a network of business connections and establish a presence as the brand representative within the leasing and real estate community. Lead and direct business intelligence initiatives of the company. Develop a mechanism for data gathering and analysis re competitive standing, network size, and growth strategy for possible benchmarking use by the company.
Standards
- Institute internal safeguards on funds, assets, and company properties and recommend improvements to maximize efficiency of office facilities, equipment, and intellectual properties among the many. Develop new and enhance work processes, which shall include but not be limited to upgrading and modifying procedures, providing corrective actions to recurring problems including internal guest complaints, as well as preventive actions to avoid potential problems from occurring.
Workforce Engagement
- Assist in employee selection, hiring, training, placement, movement, rewards, and recognition of employees under supervision. Partner with immediate reports in planning, implementing and evaluating results of developmental activities designed to improve performance and/or advance career within the company (transfer or promotion).
Qualifications
- Must have at least five (5) years’ experience in the Restaurant Business Development field, three (3) years of which in a similar capacity (Director)
- Graduate of a 4-year business course, preferably Business Management, Marketing, Economics, or Accounting. An MBA degree is a plus.
- Must be willing to travel. Estimated at 50% field work and 50% office/desk work.
- Must be adept in the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Powerpoint, and Excel)
- Business oriented and an effective team player
- Self-motivated with excellent work ethics and high interpersonal and communication skills
