A cashier at a pawnshop is responsible for handling financial transactions, managing customer interactions, and ensuring accurate record-keeping. Here’s a breakdown of their key duties:

Customer Transactions: Process sales, purchases, loans, and layaway agreements. Accept payments in cash, credit, or other forms and issue receipts.

Handling Pawns and Sales: Assist customers with pawning items and explain the terms of loans. Ensure proper paperwork is completed for pawned items and item sales.

Inventory Management: Record details of pawned items and goods for sale. Keep track of inventory to maintain accurate stock levels.

Cash Management: Handle cash drawers, ensure correct change is provided, and report any discrepancies.

Customer Service: Greet customers, answer questions about pawn policies, and provide information about merchandise available for sale.

Requirements

- Must have valid original barangay and police clearance
- Strong customer service skills are an advantage
- Detail-oriented and adept at handling customer interactions
- Open to all genders
- Trustworthy with a pleasant personality
- Must be 18 years old or older
- High School Graduate, ALS, Senior/Junior High, or higher education
- Experience is a plus, but candidates without experience are welcome to apply if willing to be trained
- Must be able to work a shifting schedule, with flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- Physically fit
