US HR Compliance Specialist

Job Description
- Monitor and interpret federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations to ensure organizational compliance.
- Develop, review, and update HR policies and procedures to align with legal requirements.
- Conduct regular audits of HR processes, including payroll, benefits, hiring, termination, and recordkeeping.
- Assist in the administration of employee onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring compliance documentation is complete.
- Provide guidance and training to HR staff and management on compliance-related topics.
- Maintain records of compliance activities and prepare reports for management.
- Investigate and resolve compliance issues or employee concerns related to employment laws.
- Liaise with legal counsel and external agencies regarding compliance matters.
- Support audits and inspections by government agencies.
- Stay current on changes to employment laws and best practices in HR compliance.
