Drake’s progressive client delivers advanced solutions like biometrics authentication, telecom innovations, financial services, smart hospitality, and transport systems to foster inclusive communities, is currently looking to hire a Construction Manager to be part of their team in Makati City.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage detailed construction schedules, resource plans, and proper allocation of materials and equipment.
  • Oversee on-site activities for COMS and AFCS infrastructure, including fiber optic cabling, GSM-R, structured cabling, and backbone transmission systems, ensuring compliance with technical standards.
  • Implement and enforce railway safety protocols, conduct risk assessments, and ensure adherence to safety standards like DOLE DO13 and COSH.
  • Supervise construction teams, sub-contractors, and personnel, ensuring workforce efficiency and timely project execution.
  • Coordinate with P6 planners for accurate scheduling, activity sequencing, and progress reporting to align with project objectives.
  • Liaise with clients, contractors, engineers, and railway operators, managing stakeholder expectations and fostering open communication.
  • Monitor project progress, address construction challenges, and ensure timely updates to management and stakeholders.
  • Ensure adherence to budget constraints, manage contract variations, and provide valuable input on cost estimates and project feasibility.
  • Conduct site inspections, oversee testing, and implement quality control measures to maintain high standards.
  • Maintain thorough documentation, including daily reports, site diaries, inspection records, and progress updates, ensuring transparency and accountability.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in construction management, preferably in railway telecommunication
  • Strong knowledge in railway safety standards, telecom systems, and infrastructure development.
  • Excellent leadership, problem solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Proficiency in constructure management software and project scheduling tools
  • Strong understanding of telecommunications infrastructure, including fiber optics, GSM-R, and structured cabling.
  • Certifications in Construction Management, Safety (e.g., COSH) and Project Management.
