Design & Engineering
- Develop electrical system design such as single line diagrams and system layouts
- Perform load calculations and power distribution analysis
- Design concept document of lighting, grounding, and lightning protection systems for subcon.
- Create equipment installation details and specifications
- Design cable routing and cable tray layouts
- Prepare electrical room layouts and equipment arrangements
- Prepare electrical BOQ for electrical works
- Review and approve subcontractor's implementation electrical drawings with instrument drawings.
- Verify electrical system specifications and requirements
- Review and approve vendor drawings and technical submissions
- Survey of existing electrical facilities and confirmation of existing drawings
Vendor Management
- Prepare and review Material Requisitions and Technical Specification for electrical equipment
- Review vendor technical proposals and provide technical evaluations
- Participate in technical bid clarification meetings
- Review vendor documentation including data sheets, drawings, and quality plans
- Manage technical communication with vendors to finalize equipment specifications
- Expedite vendor document submissions according to project schedule
- Provide technical support during manufacturing and inspection stages
- Evaluate technical capabilities of potential vendors
- Prepare approval documents for client review and coordinate responses to client comments
- Monitor manufacturing progress and testing activities coordinating with Procurement Team.
- Participate in vendor qualification process
- Review and develop equipment maintenance manuals
- Review and develop equipment inspection procedures
- Monitor vendor performance and compliance
- Attend factory acceptance tests as required
Technical Communication & Client Interface
- Respond to and resolve technical queries from client
- Prepare technical clarification responses for client review comments
- Document technical decisions and maintain communication records
- Participate in client technical meetings and design reviews
- Prepare technical deviation requests when required
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure proper installation
- Monitor construction progress and quality control
Interdisciplinary Coordination
- Lead technical coordination meetings with Civil, Process, Equipment, and Instrumentation engineers
- Coordinate electrical requirements with other disciplines
- Review equipment locations for interference with other systems
- Ensure proper integration of electrical systems with plant equipment
Construction Support & Commissioning
- Review contractor's method statements and implementation procedures
- Review and approve subcontractor's detailed design drawings and technical documents
- Supervise testing and commissioning activities
- Develop commissioning procedures and checklists
- Verify installation quality and compliance
- Review test results and commissioning reports
- Prepare punch lists and follow up on completion
- Support system handover activities
- Support operator training programs
Documentation & Project Control
- Prepare as-built documentation
- Review O&M manuals from vendors
- Develop and maintain project schedules for electrical deliverables
- Identify potential risks and propose mitigation strategies
- Report critical technical issues promptly with proposed solutions
- Track and report KPIs related to electrical engineering activities
- Bachelor's degree in electrical/electronics engineering
- Relevant professional certifications (e.g., ISA Certified Automation Professional)
- Minimum 5 years of experience in industrial automation systems
- Experience in team leadership
- Fluent business level of verbal and written communication skills in English
- Strong personality, positive attitude and ability to work under pressure
- Strong knowledge of major PLC/SCADA platforms
- Proficiency in industrial network protocols and architectures
- Experience with instrumentation and control systems standards
- Knowledge of Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS)
- Understanding of industrial cybersecurity principles
- Experience with control system programming and configuration
- Proficiency in instrument selection and specifications
- Experience with industrial communication protocols (Modbus, Profibus, etc.)
- Knowledge of control panel design and standards
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office software
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in wastewater treatment plant projects
- Experience in managing offshore A&I vendors
- Familiarity with EPC project execution
- Experience with specific PLC platforms (e.g., Siemens, Allen Bradley)
