HR Generalist (Contract) – Strategic Support Role

Department: Human Resources

Reports to: HR Executive

Location: Remote (Philippines-based only) with occasional onsite for events

Contract Type: Project-based Contract (with potential for Full-Time Conversion)

Start Date: Immediate


Overview

HeyApril is looking for an experienced and dynamic HR Generalist to provide strategic and operational support to our HR Executive in managing end-to-end human resources initiatives. This is a rare opportunity for someone eager to contribute across multiple HR verticals, drive operational excellence, and eventually take the lead on a business unit or client engagement.   • Project Support & Strategic Execution
  • Partner directly with the HR Executive on priority projects (e.g., performance reviews, engagement strategies, recruitment intiatives, HR automation).
  • Coordinate with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure timely and quality delivery of HR initiatives.


  • HR Operations
  • Support and execute key functions across HR verticals such as:
  • Recruitment: Assist in role definition, scorecard building, including external and internal interview coordination.
  • Performance Management: Implement and track performance review cycles, calibrate scores, assist in crafting summary reports and recommendations.
  • Employee Engagement: Contribute to the design and execution of employee wellness programs, internal catch-up sessions, and feedback loops.
  • Onboarding & Training: Enhance documentation and workflows for onboarding and training including delivery support.
  • Compensation & Benefits: Assist in execution, research, benchmarking and policy updates.
  • Employee & Labor Relations: Provide admin and research support in policy clarifications, grievance logging, and regulatory alignment.


  • Tech-Driven Process Optimization
  • Use tools like CRM, Notion, Google Workspace, and ChatGPT-based GPTs to streamline research, workflow creation, tracking, and reporting.
  • Identify repetitive tasks and propose automation strategies using AI and other tech solutions.


  • Documentation & Communication
  • Prepare memos, HR documentation, and internal updates.
  • Create HR templates, trackers, dashboards, and scorecards as required.


Growth Path

This role is envisioned as a stepping stone to more senior responsibilities. High performers may be converted to full-time and eventually lead a business unit or be assigned to a client-facing role.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Business, or related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of HR experience, ideally across multiple HR verticals.
  • Proven track record of managing or supporting cross-functional HR projects.
  • Excellent written and verbal English.
  • Bonus: Experience in remote/outsourcing setups and knowledge of PH labor laws.

  • Strong communication skills – clear, structured, and people-oriented.
  • Organized, efficient, and mindful of deadlines and deliverables.
