Role: Lighting Designer

Work Arrangement: Work from Office

Location: Philippines - Angeles, Pampanga

Schedule: Morning shift

Job Description:

• Save the project documents to Dropbox and start project folder
• Import CADs to AGI32
• Review against PDF plans and architectural drawings to get an understanding of the project.
• Review electrical specification (this could be done in an project initiation meeting with one of our senior lighting designers)
• Build rooms / environment / objects in the CAD file in AGI32
• Place lighting calculation planes in AGI32
• Plot light fittings with photometric ies files into the rooms / spaces within AGI32
• Calculate
• Check that all calculations meet Australian standards
• Setup templates, reports and render images
• Fill out header and footer details for reports

Experience:

• 3-5 years of relevant experience in lighting design or electrical engineering, particularly within architectural, commercial, or infrastructure projects 
• Demonstrable experience managing lighting design elements from concept to execution, with a focus on quality control and project timelines 

Qualifications: 

• Required: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline 
• Proficiency in CAD software, such as AutoCAD, and lighting simulation tools 
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a structured approach to complex design challenges 
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, suited to working with multidisciplinary teams and managing client relationships 
• Proactive, adaptable, and committed to delivering high-quality lighting solutions that align with project goals 

Non-negotiable skills & requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in lighting design or electrical engineering, with a focus on complex project delivery 
• Proficiency in CAD software, such as AutoCAD and AGI32, and lighting simulation tools 
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field 
• Demonstrated ability to manage project timelines and deliver outcomes to exacting standards
