A Logistics Specialist plans, coordinates, and oversees the efficient movement of goods, materials, and resources within a supply chain, ensuring timely delivery and cost-effectiveness. Key responsibilities include managing inventory, tracking shipments, arranging transportation, optimizing logistics processes, coordinating with suppliers and customers, and ensuring regulatory compliance. This role requires strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills, as well as a deep understanding of supply chain management and inventory systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Supply Chain Management: Coordinating and monitoring the entire supply chain, from procurement to final delivery. 
• Inventory Control: Managing inventory levels and ensuring accurate tracking within the warehouse. 
• Transportation Coordination: Arranging, optimizing, and monitoring the transportation of goods, including negotiating with freight carriers. 
• Data Entry & Systems Management: Entering data into logistics and warehouse management systems (WMS) and utilizing various software tools. 
• Customer Service: Resolving delivery-related issues and maintaining strong relationships with customers and suppliers. 
• Documentation: Managing logistics paperwork, documentation, and ensuring regulatory compliance. 
• Problem-Solving: Identifying and resolving delivery-related issues, and optimizing processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs.

Educational Requirements 

• A bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as logistics, supply chain management, or business administration is often preferred.
• Entry-level experience in logistics is beneficial for developing foundational knowledge and skills.
