Description
- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of machine tools, machining processes, and blueprint reading.
- Manual Dexterity: Proficiency in using hand tools and operating machinery with precision.
- Attention to Detail: Keen eye for detail to ensure accuracy and quality in machining.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify and resolve issues with machines or parts.
- Mathematical Skills: Knowledge of mathematics for measurements, calculations, and blueprint interpretation.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate weights, and perform repetitive tasks.
- Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors, other machinists, and other team members.
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a manual machinist
- Strong understanding of machining principles and safe shop practices
- Strong work ethic and reliability
- High school diploma or equivalent; trade school a plus
