QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum of 5 years of work experience in people management with a strong background in leading software testing teams. Experience with specialist field of work. Possibly management experience or detailed expert knowledge within a single field of work.
  • At least 3 years of successful project test management (nice to have: GxP or GAMP5 ) of Software development focused software testing and/or validation of IT Systems.
  • Extensive experience in test management, including developing test strategies, defining test plans, and tracking performance metrics.
  • Proficiency in test management tools such as tools, e.g., HP ALM, JIRA, TestRail, etc.
  • Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies, including Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid frameworks.
  • Practical experience with offshoring and cooperation across borders with experience negotiating and resolving issues in a multicultural environment.
  • Excellent communication, documentation and organizational skills, and must be able to communicate effectively and work at all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent customer service, problem solving and negotiation skills.
  • Analytical, self-motivated, responsible, flexible and with positive work attitude.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Management

  • Lead according to NNIT’s leadership principles (Involve, Inspire, Lead.)
  • Lead and develop the department team to achieve strategic objectives.
  • Develop and execute the department’s strategy, ensuring effective communication and follow-up on Business Plans, Competency Plans, Organizational Reviews, and Balanced Scorecards.
  • Continuously drive business development including development of new services, quality improvements optimizations and delivery models.
  • Oversee department financials, including budget anchoring, rolling estimates, and latest estimates.
  • Personal development, taking responsibility for personal business, competency and development targets and activities.


2. Test Management (Consultant)

  • Actively contribute as a consultant in small to medium-complex Life Sciences IT projects.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive test strategies, ensuring alignment with project goals and organizational objectives.
  • Manage the creation of detailed test plans, schedules, and metrics to ensure streamlined and efficient testing workflows.
  • Ensure compliance with industry best practices, methodologies, and quality assurance standards throughout the software testing lifecycle.
  • Prepare and maintain test documentation independently.
  • Assist the Project/Program Manager, and the Validation Project Validation Lead, Quality Project Lead, or Project Validation Manager with quality and risk management issues, conduct risk management assessments/workshops, and provide input to validation and test strategies.
  • Contribute in testing Quality Activities for projects/activities such as complex E-2-E Validations.
  • Review IT project and operations documentation; ensure that process requirements are met according to the controlling QMS.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational effectiveness.
  • Prepare and oversee testing activities, including IQ, OQ, PQ, deviation handling, and reporting, with appropriate support.


3. Operations and Business Management

  • Maintain a clear and consistent overview of operational performance across all customers.
  • Proactively identify risks, issues, and bottlenecks, implementing effective mitigation strategies to ensure seamless project delivery.
  • Ensure adherence to contractual KPIs for services delivered to customers.
  • Manage internal and external stakeholder relationships at all organizational levels, including senior management.
  • Define and implement tailored solutions for selected customer groups and service offerings within the unit.
  • Engage in major customer and stakeholder interactions during both the sales and delivery phases.
  • Analyze the market to identify and capitalize on business opportunities.
  • Facilitate effective communication and ensure accurate material for forecasting.
  • Optimize resource allocation to balance team capacity with project deadlines and requirements.


4. Resource Management and People Leadership

  • Lead workforce planning to meet organizational and project needs.
  • Coach, appraise, and develop team competencies while setting clear targets.
  • Mentor and inspire a diverse team of software testers, fostering a culture of accountability, inclusivity, and excellence.
  • Promote competency development and build knowledge-sharing initiatives within the team.
  • Monitor team and individual performance, provide constructive feedback, and implement improvement plans based on input from Service Managers, customers, and teammates.
  • Conduct regular 1:1 meetings, performance reviews, and career development discussions to support team growth and individual success.
  • Foster an inclusive environment that encourages collaboration, values diversity, and drives innovation.


5. Stakeholder Management

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for test management inquiries, updates, and communications.
  • Deliver clear and concise progress reports to stakeholders, highlighting milestones, potential risks, and solutions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project managers, developers, and business analysts, to ensure alignment with project objectives and client expectations.
