FLOWE Engineering Design Services is a leading engineering consultancy firm specializing in Building Services Engineering Design. We collaborate closely with our Australian partners to deliver innovative and high-quality design solutions for diverse projects.

• Delivery of mechanical services design documentation, including heat, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems for residential, institutional, industrial, and commercial projects—spanning from concept design through to final delivery
• Read and interpret design manuals effectively and apply project-specific design guidelines
• Perform HVAC system design calculations using CAMEL and other relevant software tools
• Prepare concept sketches and markups using Bluebeam
• Ensure all designs meet Australian Standards, and align with project budgets, schedules, and quality expectations
• Manage projects, including time and cost control, deliverables tracking, client liaison, and coordination with the project team
• Collaborate closely with clients, architects, engineers, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes
• Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior or less experienced team members
• Proactively identify and implement opportunities for improvement across design, process, and team efficiency

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Minimum 4 years of experience in Mechanical Engineering for Building Services, with at least 3 years in technical design roles focused on HVAC systems—preferably within the Australian market
• Proven Australian work experience with a strong understanding of local codes, including the National Construction Code (NCC) and other relevant Australian Standards
• Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD and strong knowledge of design tools such as CAMEL, and other relevant software tools
• Excellent communication and report writing skills in English, both written and oral
• Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and advise clients, contractors, and project stakeholders confidently
• Demonstrated ability to manage competing project priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain a proactive and solution-oriented mindset
• Comfortable working in a collaborative, remote team setup with a stable internet connection and dedicated home workspace
