- Conducting legal research using various sources, including statutes, case law, and legal databases, to gather information for attorneys.
- Preparing legal documents like contracts, briefs, pleadings, and other court filings.
- Organizing and maintaining case files, including documents, exhibits, and other materials.
- Assisting attorneys with trial preparation by assembling exhibits, organizing witness binders, and preparing for depositions.
- Communicating with clients to gather information, explain legal processes, and provide updates on cases.
- Handling administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, managing calendars, and coordinating with other professionals in the legal field.
- Investigating facts, gathering evidence, and interviewing witnesses.
- Preparing and filing legal documents with the court.
- Staying current with changes in legal regulations and providing updates to attorneys.
- Collecting and compiling documents, witness statements, and other evidence for attorney review.
- Preparing contracts, briefs, and other legal documents for court filings or client use.
- Maintaining organized case files, including documents, exhibits, and discovery materials.
- Preparing witness binders, assembling exhibits, and assisting with other trial-related tasks.
- Gathering information from clients, explaining legal processes, and providing updates on case progress.
- Researching case-related issues, statutes, and precedents.
- Scheduling appointments with clients, witnesses, and other legal professionals.
- Preparing for depositions by gathering relevant documents and interviewing witnesses.
- Coordinating the collection, review, and production of documents in response to discovery requests.
- Verifying the accuracy and completeness of legal documents and filings.
- Bachelor's Degree in Paralegal Studies or a related field such as Political Science or Criminal Justice.
- Certification or associate’s degree in paralegal studies
- A minimum experience of two years in a paralegal role
- Investigative mind and strong research skills
- Working knowledge legal database software
- Experience in preparing legal reports
- Excellent communication and time management skills
