The Opportunity
We're hiring on behalf of our Sydney-based partner, a fast-growing software company that's redefining global communication. As part of the Aussie Broadband Group, they power 500+ clients across the Asia-Pacific with cutting-edge UCaaS and collaboration services, managing over 6M+ on-net numbers. From carrier infrastructure to enterprise solutions, they deliver the full communication stack to help businesses connect smarter and scale faster.
As a QA Automation Engineer, you’ll play a key role throughout the full development lifecycle driving test automation, ensuring product quality, and contributing to stable, high-confidence releases for global clients. This position is a hybrid role based in ASW BGC. Standard working hours will align with AU business hours, from 6:00 AM to 3:00 PM Philippine time. During the probation period, you will be required to work full-time onsite. After this period, the role will transition to a hybrid model, with 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home.
Key Responsibilities
- Foster a high-performance team environment by promoting collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement across the QA team.
- Proactively share knowledge and best practices with team members to strengthen collective expertise and drive overall team success.
- Design, develop, and maintain well-architected, stable test automation code that supports continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.
- Engage early in the software development lifecycle, participating in story refinement, requirements analysis, and solution design to ensure testability and quality from the outset.
- Coordinate and report QA progress within your assigned stream, ensuring transparency, timely delivery of test activities, and alignment with project timelines.
- Execute functional and regression testing to validate new features, enhancements, and bug fixes, ensuring overall product stability and high quality.
- Identify and report pre-production defects through detailed documentation and effective collaboration with development teams.
- Automate manual or repetitive testing tasks to increase test coverage, improve accuracy, and enhance delivery speed.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot issues in both non-production and production environments, providing clear root cause analysis and resolution support.
- Collaborate daily with cross-functional teams (developers, product owners, designers) to continuously enhance product quality and user experience.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of test automation frameworks and ensure code quality by following best practices and performing regular code reviews.
- Comply with all health and safety procedures and policies, promoting a safe and responsible work environment.
- Promptly report any incidents, accidents, or potential hazards in accordance with company guidelines.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal stakeholders, peers, and external clients to support a culture of partnership and trust.
Skills, Experience & Qualifications
- At least 4 years' experience in test automation.
- At least 4 years' experience in using Selenium.
- Experience in deadline-driven QA environments.
- Proficient in documenting test scenarios, user flows & test cases.
- Familiarity with some of: MySQL, Gitlab, ELK, AWS, Postman, ReadyAPI.
- Passion for building maintainable QA test automation suites.
- High attention to detail; promotes quality within the team.
- Understands comprehensive QA beyond automation.
- Strong experience with large-scale, complex applications.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, distributed environment.
- Linux experience.
- Continuous self-learner, improving technical skills.
- Curious, tenacious, creative team player.
- Able to coach and mentor junior team members.
- Integrates QA with software engineers throughout development.
- Proactive, can-do attitude with initiative and customer focus.
