  • A college diploma or equivalent is required. A degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Manufacturing, or a related field is preferred.
  • At least 3–5 years of experience in a food production or manufacturing environment, with prior experience in a supervisory role preferred.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and team management skills
  • In-depth knowledge of food safety standards (HACCP, GMP, FDA regulations)
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Familiarity with food production processes and equipment
  • Proficient in using production management software and tools
  • Ability to maintain a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene
  • Ability to stand for long periods and work in a production environment
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy materials, such as boxes of ingredients or finished products, as required
  • Ability to work in a temperature-controlled environment (e.g., refrigerated or frozen areas)
  • Must be able to work with various food processing machinery
  • Shifts may include evenings, nights, weekends, or holidays, depending on the production schedule
  • The environment may be noisy, with the presence of machinery and equipment
  • Regular shifts, including evenings, nights, or weekends, may be required depending on the production schedule
  • Receive, inspect, and store meat upon delivery
  • Cut, debone, or grind pieces of meat
  • Weigh, wrap, and prepare meat products based on request specifications
  • Cut or prepare meats to specifications stated in the requisition forms
  • Store meats in refrigerators or freezers at the required temperature
  • Clean equipment and work areas to maintain health and sanitation standards
  • Sharpen and adjust knives and cutting equipment
