Description

  1. Sales Team Management:
  2. Lead, motivate, and mentor the sales team to meet and exceed sales goals and targets.
  3. Provide ongoing training and development to sales staff on product knowledge, customer service, and sales techniques.
  4. Monitor and evaluate team performance, offering constructive feedback and implementing performance improvement plans when necessary.
  5. Schedule and organize shifts for sales staff, ensuring adequate coverage during peak hours.
  6. Sales Strategy and Goal Setting:
  7. Develop and implement strategies to drive vehicle sales, including promotions, incentives, and marketing campaigns.
  8. Set monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets for the team and track their progress towards achieving them.
  9. Analyze sales data and trends to identify opportunities for improvement and areas of growth.
  10. Collaborate with the marketing team to create effective campaigns to increase showroom traffic and lead generation.
  11. Customer Relationship Management:
  12. Oversee the customer experience to ensure high levels of satisfaction from the initial inquiry through to post-sale follow-up.
  13. Address customer complaints or concerns, ensuring prompt and satisfactory resolution.
  14. Ensure the sales team builds long-term relationships with customers and generates repeat business through effective follow-up and communication.
  15. Inventory Management:
  16. Manage the dealership’s vehicle inventory, ensuring that the correct mix of models is available to meet customer demand.
  17. Work closely with the purchasing department to order new stock and remove obsolete or slow-moving inventory.
  18. Conduct regular inventory audits to ensure the proper levels of vehicles are available for sale.
  19. Ensure that vehicles are properly displayed, priced, and prepared for sale.
  20. Financial and Reporting Responsibilities:
  21. Oversee the preparation of sales quotes, financing options, and contracts for customers.
  22. Monitor pricing and profitability of sales to ensure competitive yet profitable deals.
  23. Analyze sales reports and key performance indicators (KPIs) to track performance, forecast trends, and make data-driven decisions.
  24. Ensure that all necessary documentation, including vehicle registrations, warranties, and financing paperwork, is completed accurately and on time.
  25. Staff Recruitment and Retention:
  26. Recruit, hire, and onboard new sales staff as needed.
  27. Foster a positive work culture that encourages employee satisfaction, retention, and high performance.
  28. Provide coaching and professional development to staff, helping them reach their potential and career goals.
  29. Sales and Market Analysis:
  30. Stay informed about the latest trends in the automotive industry, including new models, technologies, and market conditions.
  31. Monitor competitors' pricing, promotions, and sales strategies to adjust the dealership’s offerings accordingly.
  32. Analyze customer feedback, market conditions, and dealership performance to make informed decisions about sales tactics and inventory.
  33. Collaboration with Other Departments:
  34. Collaborate with the service, finance, and parts departments to ensure smooth operations and a seamless customer experience.
  35. Work with the finance team to develop financing options and manage approval processes for customers.
  36. Ensure all sales transactions adhere to dealership policies and comply with legal and regulatory requirements.
  37. Customer Service and Satisfaction:
  38. Promote high standards of customer service and ensure the sales team is knowledgeable and attentive to customer needs.
  39. Handle customer concerns and complaints professionally, ensuring the issue is resolved promptly and satisfactorily.
  40. Monitor customer satisfaction levels and work to continuously improve the dealership’s reputation and customer loyalty.
