Description

The Sales Manager will lead in driving the growth of the assigned supplements category of Biocostech Philippines Corporation. This involves generating business-building insights, formulating strategies, and implementing marketing activations, in ensuring business profitability. Additionally, the manager will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Finance, Trade Marketing, Supply Chain, Product Development, and Operations, to ensure the effective execution of plans, monitor and review targets, and identify data-driven issues and opportunities for short- to long-term growth strategies and plans. The role also involves leading a team of Medical Sales Representatives (MSRs) and managing brand development projects to drive brand and sales growth in the supplements category.


Category Management

  • Conceptualize and implement actionable brand and business-building insights for the supplements category, based on an in-depth understanding of consumer behavior, shopping habits, and market trends across various channels.
  • Led the creation of marketing plans for the supplement category, including in-store promotions, sales activations, digital marketing campaigns, and pricing strategies. While ensuring that the plans align with business objectives and target audience needs.
  • Review and analyze financial performance reports to inform decision-making and refine marketing strategies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as Marketing, to create effective communication materials and brand messaging for the assigned brands, with Trade to develop attractive customer/distributor trade terms that will drive business growth. Additionally, work closely with the Supply Chain and Sales Operations teams to ensure the seamless execution of plans, efficient distribution, and timely product availability in the market.
  • Conduct market research and competitor analysis to keep the brand ahead of market trends, and in designing strategic promotional and pricing strategies.
  • Regularly monitor the running performance of the category, and generate insights that inform the long-term strategy and short-term adjustments needed to drive continued growth for the category.


Sales Management

  • Led cross-functional project teams and sales strategies to ensure timely and efficient execution of sales and marketing projects for the supplements category.
  • Build and maintain strong, strategic relationships with key accounts and clients, identifying growth opportunities and proactively addressing their business needs.
  • Led the team of Medical Sales Representatives (MSRs) nationwide in developing and implementing sales and marketing strategies to expand market share for all supplement products.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to direct reports, including coaching, mentoring, and motivating the MSR team to foster a high-performance culture and ensure a healthy work environment for the team.

Requirements

  • Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's/College Degree, Post Graduate Diploma/Master's Degree in Business Studies/Administration/Management, Marketing, or equivalent.
  • With at least 3-5 years of relevant working experience handling food supplements, pharmaceutical products or any related industries is an advantage.
  • Excellent project management skills, with expertise from conceptualization and implementation to monitoring and evaluation.
  • Demonstrate a keen attention to detail and strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and generate actionable insights.
  • Possess a good leadership style to manage a team effectively.
  • Must have strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects concurrently.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.) and experience with data analysis tools.
