Amplify Group Ventures is a dynamic and fast-growing company with operations spanning across multiple regions, including Australia and Southeast Asia. As we continue to expand globally, we are seeking a tax accountant tobe part of our global tax strategy and compliance team within a newly structured function. This role will be instrumental in managing complex tax matters and ensuring compliance with international and regional tax regulations.


Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

The Tax Accountant will be responsible for managing and coordinating tax compliance and filings across multiple jurisdictions, ensuring timely and accurate reporting. This role involves working closely with external tax accountants in Southeast Asia, including the Philippines, Vietnam, and Thailand, to support ongoing tax obligations and ad hoc projects. The Tax Accountant will play a critical role in ensuring tax compliance across multiple entities while working collaboratively with internal stakeholders and external tax advisors.


Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Australia:

  • Prepare and lodge Business Activity Statements (BAS).
  • Prepare and lodge Instalment Activity Statements (IAS).
  • Prepare and lodge payroll tax filings.
  • Prepare and assist with Fringe Benefits Tax (FBT) returns.


Philippines (PH) – Representative Office & LLC:

  • Manage payroll and compensation tax filings.
  • Prepare and submit VAT returns.
  • Oversee vendor expanded withholding tax filings.
  • Manage income tax filings.
  • Prepare and file annual compensation tax returns (Forms 1604C & 1604E).
  • Handle annual General Information Sheet (GIS) filing with the SEC.
  • Manage annual Electronic Audited Financial Statements (EAFS) and General Form for Financial Statements (GFFS) with the SEC.
  • Ensure timely government contributions (SSS, HDMF, PHIC) compliance.


Singapore:

  • Prepare and lodge CPF contributions and related filings.


Vietnam:

  • Manage payroll tax filings.
  • Prepare and submit VAT filings.


Thailand:

  • Oversee VAT filings.
  • Prepare and assist with annual company tax filings.



Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) qualification required.
  • 5+ years of tax experience, including at least 2+ years in a senior role.
  • Advanced knowledge of tax laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.
  • Experience in the entertainment, media, or advertising industry is preferred.
  • Strong leadership, strategic planning, and process improvement skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and accounting software (e.g., Xero, SAP).
