We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Tax Associate to join our finance/accounting team. The successful candidate will assist in preparing tax returns, ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations, and supporting clients or internal departments with tax-related matters. This role is ideal for someone looking to build a strong foundation in tax accounting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and file individual, corporate, and partnership tax returns in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Assist in gathering and organizing financial data for tax reporting.
• Conduct basic tax research and stay up to date on changes in tax laws and regulations.
• Support audits by preparing supporting documentation and responding to inquiries from tax authorities.
• Review financial records such as income statements and documentation of expenditures.
• Maintain accurate and organized records of tax filings and related documents.
• Collaborate with senior tax staff and clients (or internal stakeholders) to ensure deadlines are met.
• Identify potential tax credits and liabilities and ensure accurate reporting.
• Assist in preparing quarterly and annual tax projections.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or currently pursuing).
• Basic understanding of tax regulations and accounting principles.
