Tech Lead owns the end-to-end technical direction, architecture, and delivery across AI, backend, and data infrastructure teams and guides engineers working on:

• AI agents and LangChain orchestration
• Python/Django backend and API layer
• Data infrastructure (MinIO, ClickHouse, Qdrant)
• Frontend (React, Node.js)
• Should be hands-on in architecture and code when needed, and strategic in leading technical design, hiring, and roadmap alignment.

Key Responsibilities

• Architecture & Design
• Define and evolve system architecture across AI, backend, and data layers.
• Ensure scalability, fault tolerance, and security of data pipelines and APIs.
• Integrate multiple data sources into a unified, queriable layer.

Team Leadership

• Lead and mentor a cross-functional team (backend, data, AI, frontend).
• Review code, ensure best practices in testing, CI/CD, and documentation.
• Collaborate with product & AI teams on roadmap priorities.

AI Systems

• Oversee design of multi-agent frameworks (LangChain, LangGraph).
• Implement robust retrieval & grounding using Qdrant or other vector stores.
• Work with LLM engineers to optimize agent context, prompt routing, and evaluation.

Data & Backend

• Architect APIs and data access layers around MinIO, ClickHouse, PostgreSQL, and Qdrant.
• Optimize pipelines for ingestion, anonymization, and compliance.

Product Reliability

• Set up observability, monitoring, and incident management for all layers.
• Enforce strong security, data governance, and privacy controls.

Hiring & Growth

• Help recruit backend, data, and AI engineers as we scale.
• Set technical standards, onboarding guidelines, and development processes.

Requirements

Core Technical

• Strong Python expertise ideally with Django / FastAPI.
• Experience with LangChain, LLMs, or agent-based architectures.
• Understanding of data infrastructure:
• Object stores: MinIO / S3
• Vector databases: Qdrant / Weaviate / Pinecone
• Analytical DBs: ClickHouse / PostgreSQL
• Familiarity with React/Node.js for managing frontend integration.
• Strong background in API design, microservices, and event-driven systems.
• experience leading AI or data-heavy product teams.

AI & Data

• Hands-on experience building retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) pipelines.
• Understanding of data embedding, semantic search, chunking, and context management.
• Familiar with LangChain agents, memory management, and tool orchestration.
• Experience in secure data anonymization and compliance-ready architectures.

Leadership & Communication

• Ability to translate business goals (e.g., compliance visibility, sentiment analysis) into technical roadmaps.
• Comfortable reviewing PRs, running sprint reviews, and unblocking engineers.
• Strong communication skills (please) with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Bonus Points

• Experience in WealthTech / FinTech / RegTech domains.
• Prior work with Azure Cloud
• Understanding of enterprise data integration (Salesforce, Outlook, CRMs, etc.).
• Background in security, identity management, or compliance systems.
