Job Title: IT Project Manager

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced IT Project Manager who has successfully managed and shipped production-ready software systems. This role requires strong technical understanding, excellent coordination skills, and the ability to maintain a structured, transparent, and disciplined delivery process across multiple sprints and projects.

If you have hands-on technical experience, thrive in regulated or data-sensitive environments, and can keep engineering teams aligned, accountable, and predictable—you’ll be a strong fit for this role.

Key Responsibilities

Project & Sprint Management

  • Manage end-to-end delivery of multi-sprint software projects across several concurrent initiatives.
  • Oversee planning, prioritization, and execution of sprint activities with developers, QA, and stakeholders.
  • Maintain an accurate and up-to-date view of sprint status, velocity, risks, blockers, and dependencies.
  • Track all work items from creation to deployment using Jira or similar platforms
  • (Experience with Paymo or Monday.com is a plus, as we may transition off Jira.)
  • Ensure timelines are clear, realistic, and communicated effectively to internal teams and clients.

Quality & Issue Management

  • Ensure bug fixes, escalations, and client-reported issues are properly triaged, prioritized, and followed through — not repeatedly rolled into future sprints.
  • Partner closely with QA to ensure features have clear acceptance criteria, regression testing is completed, and releases meet reliability standards.
  • Facilitate root-cause analysis for recurring issues and drive preventive improvements.

Technical Collaboration

  • Work closely with developers and QA, using your technical foundation to understand trade-offs, complexity, and risks.
  • Ability to engage in technical discussions, review tickets and architecture considerations, and translate requirements into actionable tasks.
  • (Bonus) Ability to read or write code to support problem-solving or improve clarity during planning.

Stakeholder Communication

  • Serve as the communication bridge between product, engineering, QA, and leadership teams.
  • Provide regular project updates, delivery timelines, risk assessments, and mitigation plans.
  • Drive consistent alignment to ensure smooth execution, clear expectations, and reduced rework.

Qualifications

  • 3–5+ years of experience as a Project Manager, Scrum Master, or Technical Project Lead.
  • Proven experience managing production systems and software releases (not accepting fresh graduates).
  • Experience handling multiple concurrent sprints/projects in an agile environment.
  • Strong understanding of agile methodologies, backlog management, sprint planning, and release cycles.
  • Ability to read and understand technical requirements; coding background is a strong plus.
  • Experience in healthcare, highly regulated industries, or environments where data integrity, reliability, auditability, and compliance are critical.
  • Highly organized, proactive, and detail-oriented with strong follow-through.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal), with the ability to coordinate cross-functional groups.
  • Experience using Jira, Paymo, Monday.com, or other agile project management tools.


Preferred Skills

Technical or software engineering background.

Experience coordinating offshore or distributed development teams.

Familiarity with QA processes, testing cycles, and acceptance criteria creation.

Knowledge of regulatory requirements or compliance-focused product environments.
