A Project Accountant is responsible for managing the financial aspects of a specific project, ensuring that it stays within budget and complies with financial regulations. Their duties typically include:

  • Budget Management: Preparing and monitoring project budgets, conducting regular budget reviews.
  • Financial Reporting: Creating financial statements and reports for project stakeholders.
  • Billing & Expenses: Handling accounts payable and receivable, reviewing supplier invoices, and tracking project costs.
  • Compliance & Auditing: Ensuring adherence to financial regulations and internal controls.
  • Collaboration: Working closely with project managers to develop financial plans and forecasts.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or equivalent
  • at least 5-8 years' experience in General Accounting, Internal/Internal Audit, Financial Analysis. Experience with long-term construction contract is a plus

Competencies:

  • Strong Audit, Finance, and Accounting Background
  • Strong Communication and Analytical Skills
  • Knowledge/Experience in Revenue Recognition, Long-term Construction Contracts, and Performance Obligations
