As a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer, you will be an integral part of the IT department. In this role, you will play a crucial role in integrating and automating the work of software development and IT operations to improve and shorten the systems development life cycle.

Our client is seeking a Cloud Engineer to join their dynamic team. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with fellow Cloud Engineers both locally and internationally, designing, implementing, managing, and delivering solutions in the Public Cloud Domain. As part of the Cloud Engineering Chapter within the Retail Tech Department, you will collaborate with DevOps, SRE, and DevSecOps teams to deliver a safe and compliant infrastructure.

What You'll Do

As a Cloud Engineer, your role will be diverse and challenging. You will develop applications and platform features, build deployment pipelines, draft effective technical solutions, investigate new technologies for implementation, perform proof-of-concepts on technology proposals, provide technical consultation to other engineering teams, manage applications and platforms, implement security controls and policies. Your ability to think independently and contribute to the overall effort will be key in this role.

• Develop applications and platform features as defined by the Product Owner
• Build deployment pipelines for applications and platforms
• Draft effective technical solutions that fit business needs and requirements
• Investigate and assess technologies for implementation
• Perform Proof-of-Concepts on technology proposals
• Provide technical consultation on applications and platforms to other Engineering teams
• Manage, maintain, update, and upgrade applications and platforms
• Implement required security controls and policies
  
  

What You Bring

The ideal candidate for the Cloud Engineer position brings a wealth of experience in various areas. You have experience with Cloud Services such as Azure or GCP. You are knowledgeable about Infrastructure as Code using Terraform. You have experience in automation and creating CICD pipelines using Azure DevOps. Your skills include source code version control systems like Git. You have experience with containerization and container orchestration using Docker or Kubernetes. You are comfortable working with Linux-based operating systems. Lastly, you have experience working in an Agile environment.

• Experience and knowledge of Cloud Services (Azure, GCP)
