Mama Lou’s Italian Kitchen is known for serving heartwarming Italian comfort food in a cozy, family-style setting. From classic pizzas and pastas to hearty mains and desserts, we believe in creating memorable dining experiences rooted in quality, passion, and hospitality.

We’re looking for a dedicated and passionate Head Chef to lead our kitchen team and help us maintain and elevate our food standards while staying true to the Mama Lou’s spirit.


What You’ll Do:

  • Oversee the entire kitchen operation, ensuring food quality, taste, and presentation are consistently excellent
  • Lead, train, and inspire the kitchen team to maintain high culinary standards
  • Ensure efficiency in kitchen workflow during both prep and service hours
  • Monitor inventory, control food costs, and coordinate with suppliers
  • Ensure strict compliance with food safety and sanitation guidelines
  • Collaborate with management for menu updates, specials, and seasonal dishes
  • Uphold Mama Lou’s values of warmth, teamwork, and guest satisfaction

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience as a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef, preferably in Italian or casual dining restaurants
  • Strong leadership and kitchen management skills
  • Deep knowledge of Italian cuisine, food prep, and presentation
  • Passion for hospitality and delivering memorable guest experiences
  • Organized, hands-on, and calm under pressure
  • Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
  • Culinary degree or formal training is a plus
