Position title: Life Treaty Officer
Currently, the company is on a hybrid work arrangement (MWF on-site).
Job Summary:
Contributes to the growth and profitability of the life business operations, through the judicious and efficient discharge of marketing services to both existing and prospective ceding companies.
Job qualifications:
1. Has a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, Mathematics and/or related fields.
2. Has broad and deep understanding of the insurance and reinsurance business in the areas of pricing, product development and treaty provisions.
3. Has at least 5 years of insurance/reinsurance working experience.
Scope of duties and responsibilities:
Life Reinsurance Operations
1. Ensure that all reinsurance agreements and transactions including amendments and changes are properly documented and that concerned internal operating units are informed of any changes
2. Build, cultivate and strengthen relationships with ceding life companies through periodic communications and face to face client interactions
3. Periodically review profitability of reinsurance relationships / treaties in its various aspects including but not limited to pricing, retention and underwriting limits / guidelines and make appropriate recommendations
4. Ensure timely and appropriate response to client inquiries and requests
5. Enhance image and visibility of the company by organizing fora and relevant training seminars for the life insurance companies
6. Build and cultivate relationships with other industry-related organizations, professional associations and government agencies
7. Conduct research on emerging global trends, products and benefits and share with clients
Maximize reinsurance revenues
1. Increase number of treaty clients and contracts
2. Complete documentation of all treaty agreements (1-1 matching of treaties with cedants) so that the proper SOAs can be generated
Strengthen customer relationship and loyalty
1. Timely, complete and accurate documentation of treaty agreements so that the transactions can be administered correctly and errors are minimized
2. Regular client visitations (at least once a year per client)
3. Build, cultivate and strengthen relationships with ceding life companies through periodic communications and face to face client interactions.
