Description

  • The Student Affairs Officer (SAO) is responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing programs and services that support student engagement, welfare, and development. The role requires close collaboration with various departments, student organizations, and external partners to ensure the successful execution of student-centered initiatives and institutional goals.


Key Responsibilities:

1. Student Development & Engagement

  • Lead the planning and execution of major and minor school events (e.g., orientation, student assemblies, leadership training, recognition programs, cultural events, etc.)
  • Supervise and support recognized student organizations in their activities, compliance, and development
  • Promote student involvement and leadership across campus life activities


2. Scholarship Program Management

  • Oversee the implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of institutional and external scholarship programs
  • Coordinate with scholarship providers, monitor scholars’ academic progress, and ensure compliance with guidelines
  • Facilitate orientations, processing of applications, and regular reporting related to student grants and financial assistance


3. Marketing and Promotions Support

  • Collaborate with the marketing and admissions team in organizing school-based promotional events (e.g., open houses, career fairs, student exhibits, etc.)
  • Assist in implementing student-centered marketing initiatives and campaigns
  • Serve as a liaison during community engagement or institutional marketing events involving student participation


4. Student Welfare and Conduct

  • Address and monitor student concerns, feedback, and disciplinary issues in coordination with other departments
  • Uphold school policies and promote a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
  • Maintain documentation and reports related to student conduct and welfare cases


5. Administrative and Reporting Tasks

  • Prepare and submit timely reports, documentation, and proposals related to student affairs programs
  • Maintain updated student activity records and organizational compliance
  • Support other administrative duties as assigned by the Student Affairs Head or Campus Administrator

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Education, Social Sciences, or any related field
  • At least 2 years of relevant work experience
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Excellent organizational and event management skills
  • Demonstrates leadership, initiative, and a student-centered mindset
