HOUSE PARENT FOR THE RESIDENTIAL CARE FACILITY

Provides direct care to children under the Residential Care Program. This includes but not limited to:

• Accompany or transports on or off grounds to recreational, educational, or occupational activities.
• Performs light housekeeping duties in children’s areas and living rooms.
• Attends in-service training and/or educational programs.
• Shops for or with residents for clothing, food and / or personal belongings.
• Trains children to function independently to their capacity and needs in self-help and/or daily living skills (e.g., personal hygiene, feeding, grooming, etiquette, social skills) according to prescribed treatment plan of the Registered Social Worker (RSW)
• Institutes appropriate crisis intervention for unacceptable behavior as defined by individual treatment plan,
• Plans leisure time activities (e.g., games, crafts, walks) to fill free time when none are scheduled by RSW.
• Assists with related scheduled activities (e.g., recreational, educational and/or occupational activities)

• High school graduate or any vocational course
• Age: 25 – 50 years old.
• Willing to work in 12-hour shift
• Conform to life-giving values of the Scripture
